Product Care for Anodized Aluminum Jewelry

Anodized aluminum is lightweight, tarnish-resistant, and vibrant, but the protective oxide layer that holds its color can be scratched or degraded without proper care.

  • Clean gently: Wash gently by hand in lukewarm water with a few drops of mild soap (don't scrub). Make sure to rinse the soap fully off. Pat dry gently with a soft microfiber cloth, then lay flat on a clean towel to air-dry thoroughly before storing. Ensure no water remains trapped between the rings.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals: Avoid applying hairspray, makeup, perfumes, and lotions before and after putting on your jewelry, as chemicals and propellants can degrade the anodized color coating.
  • Avoid skin oils during storage: Wipe down the piece gently with a clean, dry or damp microfiber cloth after each wear to remove skin oils and perspiration.
  • Be cautious with chlorine and salt water: Take off your jewelry before swimming in pools, hot tubs, or the ocean, as chlorine and salt can damage aluminum surfaces.
  • Avoid friction & store flat: Store your jewelry flat in a soft pouch away from hard metals or abrasive objects to prevent scratches. Avoid storing it from direct sunlight and damp areas (like bathrooms) for extended periods.
